1.)What is maternal and infant care?

  - It is the promoting, preventing, therapeutic or rehabilitation facility or care for the mother and the child. The goal is to reduce morality and morbidity among mothers, infants and pre-school children.


2.) What is the importance of maternal and child health?

- Improving the well-being of mothers, infants and children is an important public health goal for the world. Their well-being determines the health of the next generation and can help predict future public health challenges for families and communities and the global health system.



3.) What are maternal health concerns?

- anemia

-mental health conditions

- hypertension

-obesity

- urinary tract infections


4.) What is maternal services?

- It is the health of women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period. While motherhood is often a positive and fulfilling experience too many women embark on suffering , ill health and even death due to unproper measures and precautions that aren't taken.

5.)  How can we improve maternal health?

- We can lay well prepared foundations for good pre-natal care, help prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission and most importantly get females to attend school.
