- born and raised in Arlington, Texas amber Hagerman was a beautiful and young bright soul that was abducted and murdered in 1996 in USA. 

 On a sunny afternoon in January 1996 young amber was abducted whilst riding her bike whom was with her five year old brother Ricky in an abandoned grocery store parking lot in Arlington texas. 

A 78 year old retiree witnessed the entire incident when amber was abducted  and called officials. He gave details and when ricky arrived back home without amber their grandfather got worried. The police already started searching for her but a few days later a local man was walking his dog when he found the dead body of amber.

 Autopsy revealed amber was alive 2 days after abduction and sexually assaulted and her throat later slit. Amber's body was found clotheless 5 miles in a creek behind an apartment complex from her last seen spot. After her gruesome death the case went cold in 1999 as it was closed. Her killer walks free till date.

The amber alert was created as a quick information responding unit to diverge information between media officials and the law force to solve and if even further prevent any more harm to children like amber. The amber alert is now used across the nation an in more than 20 other countries. It has rescued over nearly 800 missing kids according to sources.
